In Ontario, there are no Government rules or regulations as to what a home inspector is or what she or he will do for you. Anyone can set up a web site and print business cards calling themselves a home inspector. Hence, you will see differences in fees charged for inspections among those of us who are qualified (as we are) and those who aren’t.

With Thor Home Inspections, you can be confident that our inspections follow the standards of practice. To this end, our rates are competitive to the industry services which includes the use of professional industry inspection reporting software. By the end of the inspection, your report will be ready for review including all of the pictures and findings the inspector has collected. All of this technology is included in your fee.

Prices For Services Are

  • 1-Hour house consultation: $150
    (does not include a written report, but covers main elements of a home)

  • Full house inspection*: $450
    (with written report. *Based on homes 1500 sq ft or less. For homes above 1501 sq ft, price based on sq ft.)

  • Pre-Inspection: $350
    (with written report)

Note: prices will depend on size, age and condition of home. All homes must have occupancy permits.

Note: We use the latest technology to integrate our process for online payment via e-transfer or debit. After accepting the contract electronically, you will have the option to complete your payment online through a e-transfer or you can pay by cash or cheque at the inspection.
