Tarion Home Inspection

Thor Home Inspections Make Your Tarion Home Inspection a Simple Process

Home inspectors can play an important role in supporting new home buyers and owners throughout the home buying and warranty process. Under Tarion, in your first year of possession you have two opportunities to file a statutory warranty claim: A 30-Day Form may be submitted during the first 30 days of possession, and a Year-End Form may be submitted during the last 30 days of the first year of possession. We recommend clients contract our assured Home Inspection services during the first year of ownership.  Ideally, it is best to do a home inspection within the first 30 days as some issues may potentally be safety or energy related. It is important to resolve these types of issues as soon as possible.

(NOTE: We do not recommend the inspection to be done during the Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) as most builders allocate a limited time for this process.)

A new home inspection typically takes about about the same time as a regular home inspection. We check all of the systems and components in your new same as well as address the list of items you may already have reported.  We take our time to do it right.
